Is this weird?
Is it really weird that I like it when I wake up with my eyes crusted shut with eye boogs? It happened to me this morning, and it made me realize how funny it is when you're in that dazed point between sleep and waking up, and when you try to open your eyes, you can't. That's awesome! Maybe I'm really weird, but I like it when that happens, and I'm not afraid to say it. I would have taken a picture of it, but I couldn't open my eyes to find my camera.

I LOVE THAT! I like trying to force my eyelids open, but they just won't go. And then you get to pick the stuff off bit by bit. I haven't had that for a long time. lucky.
I don't know about the goopy eyelids, but I do like that realm in between sleep and consciousness. If I'm in the middle of a really good dream I like being able to drift back into it and making sure it ends just how I want it to.
see, I can never do that. I start thinking how I want it to end, then I just feel like I'm scheming or something. Too contrived. I try to pretend it's part of the dream, but deep down I know it's not and I know I'm not fooling myself. Oh, the frustrations I live!
I always thought lucid dreaming would be cool until I realized that it would mean I would have to feel guilty about stuff that happened in dreams now too. So I quit trying.
Actually, I just read about it in the Reader's Digest. (I was relieved to learn it's an actual technique and I wasn't just weird). The trick is to not think too much about how you want it to end. Just the act of going back into it in the middle from a more conscious state will allow you more control over the choices you make to bring it to it's natural end. It's supposed to be quite theraputic. I don't have to do a lot of guilt over it because I usually try to behave myself. If not, I can justify it by telling myself I was working out my "issues."
Let that be a lesson to all blog spammers. If I knew how to forward them all viruses, I would do it. But for now I'll have to be contented to delete them from my blog.
